This show showcases the story of Sequoia, from her beginning as a drag sapling in New York City, to eventually becoming Salt Lake City's shadiest tree - told through live vocals, lip syncs, stories, and more. Come see the origin story, how the tree came to be, and enjoy some delicious beverages from one of SLC's favorite queer bars - Blue Gene's! Comedy Church is hosted by Greg Kyte and Adam Broud. Both of them used to be insanely religious people but are now faithless and destined to burn in hell. In the long term, it’s kind of a bummer. But in the short term, it makes for a pretty good comedy show. Each Comedy Church show features new comedians as well as religious topics. Comedy Church takes an agnostic stance towards faith. Although Adam and Greg are atheists, they’re not the a-hole type. For instance, interviews focus on comedically learning about guests’ experiences rather than trying to find “gotcha” moments regarding religion. To emphasize this, past guests have included people of diverse backgrounds and members of various faiths.
